Description

The Division of Neurosurgery at Sherbrooke Hospital offers a one-year funded fellowship in general neurosurgery.

The successful candidate will be eligible for a clinical educational license in Quebec and be able to speak and write in French in a current way.

We also encourage the candidates interested in applying for Fellow’s position to visit our center for a period of one to two weeks. This visit may allow the candidate to know the service before formalizing their application.

The Division currently has six staff neurosurgeons with different subspecialty interests: trauma and critical care of traumatic brain injury and spine, neuro-oncology, skull base surgery, spine surgery, radiosurgery and cerebrovascular/endovascular surgery.

Focusing on teamwork rather than individual effort, the division is continually expanding and intending to take the lead in the development of neurosurgery over the next decades.

The fellow will receive an annual salary 35.000 Canadian dollars, for the year commencing July 1st -June 30th of the following year.
